Butterfield Design entered the global open competition to design night shelters for long distance cyclists with their Velopods project, completed in 2018. With a true passion for cycling, the team at Butterfield Design was excited to provide a shelter and sanctuary for endurance cyclists, allowing them to rest and recharge during long-distance journeys. The Velopods concept was a modular system made from recycled materials that could be distributed around the world. Butterfield Design was highly commended for their work on this innovative project.
